Women in Sports Photo Awards

Initiated by the Taiwansfa Sport Forward Association, the world's first "Women in Sports" International Photography Awards

According to data from the United Nations, women make up 40% of professional athletes, but media coverage of women’s sports accounts for only 4% of all sports media exposure. This disparity is significant and unbalanced.

Therefore, we hope to host the Women in Sports International Photography Awards to give visibility to women participating in sports, pay tribute to sports photographers, and showcase Taiwan's commitment to gender equality in sports.

The total prize pool for the competition exceeds NT$600,000, with three categories: the International Professional Category, Taiwan Domestic Category, and Taiwan Campus Category. The theme of the photography competition is to capture women in sports events or activities, including but not limited to athletes, cheerleaders, referees, media, event staff, volunteers, and spectators.

Submission period: 2022/12/1 - 2023/1/31
Photo period: 2022/1/1 - 2022/12/31

Each participant may submit up to five works. Finalists will be invited to attend the award ceremony held in Taiwan in May 2023.
